So there was 2-3 boats out there couple fisherman no big deal. This 06ish maybe Nautique is out there fully loaded pullin a couple boarders throwing a big wake, sweet! Until they started pulling a tuber at like 10-15mph leaving all the ballast in the boat just wrecking the water everywhere they went which was the entire lake! I don't care if you totally loaded pulling a boarder, thats what its there for, but if your pulling a little kid on a tube at 10mph UNLOAD THE BOAT! its 3 switches! Mad Mad

ran into that same problem. this guy yesterday had a 2010 mb b52 and was doing donuts towing the tube from the tower with it fully sacked out. destroyed the cove we were boarding in. i think the sheriff told him to take it to another cove when he stopped them. i really hate inconsiderate people like that.

Exactly! As if tubers need a larger wake Rolling Eyes I mean I don't have integral ballast and it can be a PITA loading and unloading the bags, but as soon as the last boarder is done, we empty them just to keep the water as nice as possible. Plus, my lake has seawalls so the waves just reverberate everywhere.

I understand your frustration I have been there (I hate all jet skis) and I have been known to roll up to random people that I know have no clue at all and ask them to wait 10 minutes on the tubing so I could get a good set in. but you need to understand this is how the other guy looks at it even when they "should know better" or you think they should know better.

So there were 2-3 boats out there couple fisherman and us no big deal. I'm in my 02 Nautique fully loaded pullin a couple boarders throwing some serious runs down and getting their sets in. I was going to let the other guys rip it up for bit before changing out riders but noticed non of them could really ride so I decided to give my nephew a tube run knowing good water wont matter to those fools. Days short yo gotta get everyones set in.

I personally don't even own a tube but have borrowed one so I could pull my nephews around and YES felt ashamed to even be pulling a tube and got ribbed from all my boys for pulling a tub but my nephews thought Uncle Jay was tha king and that's all that mattered. Would I personally pull a tube when it's good water and people are riding NO FN way but you need to understand most people even people that should know better don't give a F about you!

I used to get mad and of course it's frustrating.

But face it, they have just as much right as you do to do anything in the water that they want, as long as it's done safely. Such is life.

By whose standards? They couldn't throw an invert or a spin? Maybe they aren't very good riders because they have a hard time in anything but calm water since they are just starting out?

Does rough water helps people become better riders?

Mostly it's just ignorance that their even creating a problem for the others on the lake. Any good rider who's not a complete a** knows not to. Others are mostly tourist which will always be there.

I was talking to the guy camped next to me last time we were out. He was asking about boarding and what not. He asked why we all get up at 6am and go out riding, I told him for glass water. He was like really, I thought you guys wanted it rough so you could jump Shocked Laughing Laughing

J_DOGG, Pulling your nephew is the greatest thing ever! I'm all for getting kids on the water, but my point is would have have pulled him fully loaded??

I can share, have no problem with it, even people that use the only glass spot to pull tubers, my entire problem wasn't pulling this little kid and probably dad on fathers day, my problem is that in about 3 min he could have emptied his boat and at least made an attempt at lessening his affect on the lake.

And don't get me wrong theres no where else I would have rather been. It didn't ruin the day, I didn't go crying to anybody.
Time spent on the water is not deducted from ones lifespan.

ryan351w, as I said I would never do that but I'm a rider and I know better.

Agreed even a bad day on the lake is a great day in my book.

The point of the STORY was - people don't NEED to give an F about you me or anyone else for that matter.
Don't get me wrong it used to drive me insane!
But after years of living on a lake I have learned what people are receptive to and what pisses them off.

So I took and take the time to teach proper lake etiquette so honestly people don't roll when I'm riding.
I also don't think I'm getting or expect good water after 10 on a Sat or Sun.
