Anybody have any input on a 2009 Nautique 216?

Looking for feedback from those who own, or have ridden in and behind one.

I know they are a crossover. I have a friend looking at one, for $56k. I told him it's an okay deal, but I wasn't 100% sure.

Anyone?

Is he lookin specifically for a crossover? TnTige is all over craigslist every time I look. Seems like they're just tryin to push em out the door.

No, he came across one at a dealer near him. He doesn't know as much about these boats as the collective here. I told him it was a crossover. But he's not a hardcore wakeboarder either. So I don't want to lead him away from a boat that might be perfect for him.

Sure you're not thinking of the 226? The 216 is just a bigger 196, based off of the same hull. And 56K for a 216 is just silly. Nada has the vdrive at 45K and the DD at 37.

Never been in one so I don't really have anything to say about it otherwise.

Ok, so DD and VD may have a different hull. The V has 4 more inches of beam but 7.5 inches shorter. Apparently that can facilitate 2 more people.

A 216V is a nice set up... It has a decent wake too.. The wake on a 216 I think is a little better then on a 211... The price sounds like it is right at dealer cost... Is it team edition?? Is it brand new?? Make sure the tower is repaired they have a recall on the towers were they freeze and crack.
