Anyone got one? Do they work? I am thinking about giving up cable and just getting one of those for the local channels and hulu for everything else.

The antennas work fine if you are close to a tower. You do not need a "HD" antenna, they are not different than previous antennas, manufacturers are just putting HD in teh name to raise the price.

Go to antennaweb.org and put in your home address. It will tell you the type and size of antenna to get and what stations you will recieve. It will also tell you which direction the signal is coming so you can line the antenna up properly.

Go to Antennaweb.org and see how far teh tower is.

I know may people picking up signals for 150 mile away.

The samller antennas are usually good for 50 miles. Keep in mind, they are also directional, so theyu have to be pointing the correct direction
