I'll try not to molest any trucks this time.
Seriously though, do yall still roll to Tahoe? I'm up for something like that, or CO. |

What like we just stop or something?
I can probably only swing Tahoe this year, I'd love to make it to CO at some point and hit up Vail or Aspen. Another fun trip would be Flatchelor...err Bachelor, but Bend can be a bit of a PITA to get to from around the country. _________________

So it's been a while since I've been on wb.com and figured I'd check to see if anyone had the same thoughts on another Tahoe/Lakeside Inn trip.
Let's work this out. Tahoe is clearly a favorite as I'm hoping to get 20+ days in this season after taking a last season off.

I'd love to! I'm dreaming of snow already.
However, without a job and cleaning out my savings (which was not much) in Japan, its hard for me to commit to anything right now. But... I'll work on it. |

How about the West Coasters help out on the info:
Where:
When: How about February? People can prepare and the lack of holidays might clear out some of the traffic? Ideas? |

Obviously Tahoe is a good location because of there are plenty of local constituents to get people from the Bay Area up to Tahoe, in addition to lots of hotels, gambling, and generally good weather (although it is an El Nino year so all bets are off). Additionally, there is the option to rent a big ass house as there are more than you can count in South Lake which would help $$ wise. But, then again, I'm not sure I want to share a damage deposit with some of you.
February you have to contend with Dead Presidents weekend (I think a mid-winter week break for man), other than that it works pretty well.
Other locations would be Colorado, Denver is easy to get to, and the mountains aren't too far.
SLC has killer mountains, but nightlife sucks, unless EJ wants to put us all up and feed us bourbon and cigars while the "little man" keeps us in check. _________________

Tahoe is clearly the easiest for me and offers the fun of Casinos. Currently things up there are super cheap and I have a feeling it will stay that way through the winter. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

Southwest has some DIRT cheap deal in early December if that isn't too soon... Of course we'd have to sacrifice someone to the snow gods just in case.
Looks like the deal ends today. But the dates extend into February. Probably not enough time to get a decision out of the group.
On a side note...
jt09, I've been meaning to make it ATX. There's a 5'10" brunette that I think I'll come out to see this winter. I'll keep you in the loop on that front. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

I can do a weekend in early December...I think. Southwest looks like it will be under $300 round trip. $200 if its Dec. 10-14. That's to Sacramento for estimate purposes.
You guys that fly out....Do you check your board? I'd imagine stuffing it in a golf bag or something would work. I have checked a wakeboard before.
Not sure where you guys fly into when you go. I'm assuming you fly to wherever someone nice enough will pick you up on the way, etc? |

I know December will be too fast for me. With this shop build $$$ is going to that, not play.
I'm up for whichever has the better chance of good snow.
LS1_SE7EN, honestly I didn't bring my board last time, just my boots. It costs as much to carry one as it does to rent one. One less headache, of course make sure you get one that's freshly waxed so all the fatboys don't leave ya in the dust. That was embarassing. |

haugy, it really depends on what El Nino does this year. Sometimes it's really good for Tahoe other times not so much. Hoping for one of those really good years. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

kdip, I'd expect about 300 bones USD. Sometimes there are better deals going, but that's about the average for advance purchase. _________________

Did you fly an airline that charged you for it?
Lets get some dates down. I'm up for pretty much any weekend. I'm self employed so I can take off whenever. |

February works for me.
Weekend of the 12-13 is out unless you like high prices and crowds.
6-7 is Superbowl weekend.
So that leaves the weekends of 20-21 or 27-28.
Haugy, why don't add a poll for those two weekends in February. _________________

I think that first weekend falls on Family Day (Canada Holiday) - if it's that weekend, I'm probably in.
What airport would you fly into so I can see costs? _________________ Impossible is not a a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.

It would be $104 for me to fly into Sac Thursday night. Maybe crash at a certain home celebrity for the night and then be ready for Friday?
Flights are cheap for me. So I'm pretty sure I'm in. Did we figure out a weekend yet? |
