I have the slingshot choice. This is only my second summer wakeboarding, so I went with the most basic board. Not quite ready for something super fast and too advanced yet. It is much looser than my cwb faze (even the faze without fins) and it took me a few rides to get used to it, but I love it. I got it because I have terrible knees and heard the flex boards were easy on the joints.

I got a 2011 Hooke last month. I couldn't be happier with it. There is a short adjustment period if you've never rode their boards, but now I love it. I don't feel like my pop suffered at all despite what some will say about flex.

I put 2010 Watsons on it and they work great.

I have tried the newton and the hooke and have to say I like the hooke way better and it is what I currently ride. It has great pop and controll. The newton was way slicker and had a whole different feel to it. Be carefull wearing different bindings on it though cause my 2010 ronix one bent the fast track. I ride the rad's and love them.

Does any one know when Lymans pro Model will be available. I was looking at the Hooke also until I saw he was going ahead with a pro model. Also I just bought the Frank Boots and love them. Kinda worried about the Fast Track. You said your One's bent them?

The 2012 Lyman pro model is supposed to be hitting shops this month (July 2011). It isn't up on the SS website for some reason, but call around and you should be able to find it or at least find out when shops are expecting to get it.

My 07 response finally snapped the other weekend and I just ordered a hooke today. Slingshot is sendin me the plates for my drivers for free, best customer service ever, and I can't wait to ride this thing. Ill post up some details when it makes it here and I get a set in.

Ok, of course typical for a slingy this thing is paper thin. Also notable it has channels between the fins at nose and tail whereas all old slingys lacked any bottom features. First thing I noticed when riding was how quick it would get on edge. My old response would sometimes want to not bite when transferring from toe to heel, not this sucker. The board allowed me to cut so much harder and accelerate so much quicker. I was still able to butter around effortlessly. One thing I noticed between this and the ronix one I had been riding for the past few weeks was how easy this was to break loose, the one felt stickier on the water. I'm not going to comment on the pop until after I ride the supra on Saturday because yesterday I rode a bass boat. I will say that I was able to stick backrolls and slide out on a tantrum all off an 8" wake. The pop felt very predictable and controlled, let's hope its the same on the fat wake. Ill update more on Monday, so far A+ I'm glad to be back on a slingy

The lyman is coming out august of this year according to alliance wakeboard mag aug/sept issue.

Dbismyname, you said the channels helped it get on edge faster / better. Are the channels also like the DISC bottoms of the LF boards where they help cushion the landings as well?

I've got another forum post right now regarding this, but I guess I'm curious if you've ridden a featureless SS before what your impressions were in the softness of landing.
