|
|
A mate and i were looking at getting some more sacks and considering the quality of each.
Ive only ever owned Launch Pad stuff, however Fly High seems to have a better reputation (and also be priced accordingly).
What do you guys reccomend, and why?
What are also the best pumps to use (not hardwired as yet) and why as ive got limited experience with them.
Thanks |

The Fly High sacks are a nicer quality - they use a heavier material and better hardware... note however though that then you need to use their connectors to pump water in and out - which are equally expensive.
If you are looking to permanently install sacks with an automatic system I would spend the $$, but if its just to throw a sack in the bow, or in a locker and you are chucking the pump over the side there's very little benefit to the more expensive pumps - just buy the cheapest you can find...
They are all up to the task, but as always, you pay more, you get more. Just depends if you need it in this instance. _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

dirtysparks, so for example i can buy a normal pump ie http://www.wakemakers.com/attwood-tsunami-ballast-pump-1200.html and simply modify it to suit?
If so what fittings would i need? There is mentions 2, but what do i need to do about powering it? Im trying to buy everything online so any help would be great |

If you buy a fly high sac, you'll have 3 ports on the sac. fill/vent/drain. It will come with 3 fittings. 2 plugs and 1 quick connect, part #730. If you fill them manually, you'll just plug up the drain and vent with the plugs and use the quick connect.
Now for the pump, if you buy the one you linked, you'll have to put some parts together. You can buy the hose at your harware store. Then you'll need to splice in a cig lighter for power as it only has 2 short leads. Lastly, you'll need to purchase a 734 to attach to the pump intake, and a 738 for the hose(exit) end. Of course you can spend some extra money and buy the whole package.
