Hey guys not sure if you can help me at all, but when I pull out of the hole, I get a strange noise, that to me sounds as if something is "slipping", then after not even a second, it stops and the boat continues without trouble. The problem only occurs when taking off, and if you baby her out of the hole (ie use half- three quater throttle, and just drag the guys out slowly) it doesn't seem to happen. Have already check tranny fluid levels and they seem good. Any suggestions?? I need help!

what kind of boat is it and how old is it? the direct drive tranny's are like automatic car trannys that have clutches in them with a planetary gear set. it is possible that it is slipping but would need more info.

You could have low pump pressure in the tranny. The pressure builds on the clutches as the RPM's increase. I had the same problem on my x-star and eventually the tranny puked. Best bet is to take it in and have it looked at.
What kind of boat..?
