I'll take a piece from Ted Millers "Oregon Worst Case Scenario for 2009".

Quote:
Then they head to Husky Stadium. The Ducks have owned rival Washington of late, winning five in a row in the series.

Huskies quarterback Jake Locker passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns and rushes for 98 yards another score, but the key play comes when it seems like Oregon is driving late for the victory.

From the Huskies 8-yard line, Masoli throws the ball to his left into the flat toward the endzone pylon, but Washington cornerback Quinton Richardson snags the ball and sprints down the sideline.

"Quinton Richardson's gonna score!" screams Huskies play-by-play man Bob Rondeau.

Huskies win 31-20.

Richardson's 97-yard interception return for a game-clinching touchdown becomes known as "The Pick," and it will be played repeatedly in Husky Stadium whenever Oregon visits in the future.

jryoung, did that also appear in UW's best case scenario? I like how he did those...fun read.

I will say it again.

It speaks volumes to how far the Huskies have fallen. I was at the UO vs. UW game last year. Saw several Husky fans with shirts on that said "BEAT OREGON" "Nothing Else Matters"

UO by 30 Very Happy

And which of those schools did you attend? Please tell me you aren't bragging about a college you never went to.

Corporate, so you have to go to a college to be a fan any of their sports programs?

Oregon will have their heads hanging pretty low after BSU works them over in the season opener... Ducks heads won't be right after that, and should be easy pickens for other teams after that.

Ha. Laughing We'll see about that, I'm pretty sure BSU is going to get crushed pretty hard. Considering the fact that we were on our 5th string QB (who was suppose to be red shirted.) and we still only lost by 5 pts, I think this year will surprise you if that's the outcome you expect...

Beware of the curse of the smurfs. I'm just glad a big game will kick off the season two days early.

DRAGON88, did you watch that game! I did. It may have been 5 points on the board, but it was more like a 30 pt. game. BSU manhandled them. They slowed down and sat on their lead which wasn't a good move. I could also give you a list of BSU injuries as well. Plus, it was at Oregons house with a Freshman QB with only a couple games under his belt. If your not aware of the broncos home record, you should look it up. I think they have lost one or two games there since 1999.

I did, and I remember us playing like utter shite and then picking up the pieces towards the end, I believe there was even a play towards the end that made it look like we might have won. There's no denying that last year we had our asses handed to us by an opponent we didn't expect, luckily we came back towards the end so it didn't look entirely pathetic.

On the other hand: A. We started getting our stuff together at the end of last season. B: We're not the same team that BSU played last year, IMO we're much stronger. If you think it's going to be a blow out, then I really do think you're in for a surprise...

churchy, keepin' it classy I see.

Congrats on beating the ONLY ranked team you guys will play this year. I'm envious of your schedule, that much I know.

I can see rubbing it in if you guys actually played well, but from what I saw both teams played like utter garbage. We certainly deserved to loose, but quite frankly putting 11 points on the ducks, for how crappy we played is nothing to write home about.

DRAGON88, you started a thread to pimp the ducks making the cover of sports illustrated (a regional cover, no less), when there has been a college football thread up and going for months. then you complain when someone bumps it because your team looked like worse shlt than his and took a loss in the very first game of the season, thus nullifying the reason the ducks were put on the cover? dude, get a grip. you talked smack and your team didn't back it up - deal w/ it.

jt09, thanks for summing it up so I didn't have to.

To add a little. OR was supposed to have a power house offense, and couldn't do shiz against BSU's D. Yes, BSU's office didn't look that good, but far good enough to beat UO. In fact, you should be grateful that they were that sloppy, or it would have been a 40 pt. game.

DRAGON88, you're the butthurt one here man, not the rest of us.

again, because you are having trouble w/ the concept:

1. you started a thread pimping your team.
2. your team lost, while not only looking like complete dogshlt, but embarrassing itself as well.
3. you got called out for starting a thread pimping your team and then having them lose.
4. you got butthurt for getting called out.

moral of the story is to bend over and take it when you pop off and get smacked.

hahaha.... funny that you said you thought it would be closer than that. Earlier in the thread you said you were pretty sure BSU was going to get "crushed"... crushed to me isn't "close".

My prediction looks to be pretty spot on. Ass whooped and heads hanging low.. all that is left is to see about the easy pickens part. I really hope I am wrong on that one. It is in BSU's best interest to have OR run the table now.

Yes, he should have said to himself, "Self, if I talk smack to this guy, he will punch me. This will lead to him being suspended for the rest of the season. His suspension will mean that OR will have less of a team, and may not be able to compete as well throughout the season. This in turn could hurt BSUs SOS". Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Like I said in the other thread. There was a ton of shat talking going on. OR was still butt hurt about getting there arses handed to them last year. If everyone got punched for talking, there wouldn't have been many people playing the game (mostly ducks). This was just one isolated incident. Hout is the bad guy just because dumb arse Blout blew up.

I am just glad Blount got suspended after the game and not before or during so that all of the OR fans wouldn't have another excuse for losing (like all the ones they have for last year's loss).

Boise is a very good team.

It will be interesting watching them over the next few years as they have to stop playing the underdog/disrespected role and move to favorite/target role.

Boise would do well in any BCS conference. Undefeated, I doubt it.
