I've got a 42" Polaroid TV that I can connect to my HP laptop via VGA Cord, the only problem is the TV is showing no signal. I tried turning it on and off, changing the input, and everything else under the sun with no luck. Yes both the TV and laptop were on w the VGA cord plugged into both. IF anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate it. _________________

| Take a look at your numbered function keys (F1 - F12). One of them probably has a picture of a little computer screen or something similar. Press the Function Key (Fn) plus the key with that picture, each time you press that combo it will cycle through your display settings. Give it a bit of time between each time you press the button and eventually your tv should recognize the signal from your laptop. |

| What Jeff206 said. I don't think your laptop will automatically send the signal through the VGA cord. With mine I have to go into the video properties and select whether I want dual screens or extended desktop. I will have to look for the function key on the my keyboard because that would help. On the TV end, my TV has "PC" in the input functions when cycling through them. |

| I have another question. When I have my computer plugged up to my tv, the screen on my computer everything gets a little bigger? How do I get it to look normal on the TV and my computer? |
