When you cut out wait for the boat to start pulling you back in before you begin your cut.

While edging into the wake edge harder, and DO NOT let up on your edge. Hold the edge all the way through the wake building up speed as you get closer to the wake.

Looks like you need to edge a LOT harder when you get to the bottom of the wake. I'd say your edge is only at 50-75% of what it should be. Instead, you are maintaining your 50-75% edge but not increasing it any. Sometimes you are backing off your edge a bit as you approach the wake-then you just ride up it. You need to working on edging just a little harder as you hit the bottom of the wake so that your edge is nearly twice what it is now.

Looks very familiar to me. I did this for a long time, and sometimes still fall into the habit of doing it behind a boat that is not my own.

Video 1- the jump at 2:44 is the closest thing you do to a progressive edge. THAT should be your starting point for pushing over that last hurdle.

Video 2- that wake looks a LOT bigger. Is that the same boat or what?

One other thing-try and get more of the board's front 1/3 of the heelside edge in the water. Doesn't look like much of the board is in the water to the left of your left heel. The more board you dig into the water, the more edging power you will have.

Keep at it, dude. You're almost there.

2:30 and on in the first video you're starting to make a good progressive cut through the wake even though you're starting a bit too quick like big_steve mentioned.

It looks like you know what you need to do, you're just not doing it. I can see you exaggerating some things, but you're pop is a little late where your legs are not getting completely straight. The other thing is, you're getting a lot of your bad technique from your cuts away from the wake. To correct bad habits, it's important to always use good habits even when you're not approaching the wake for a jump.

BTW, in that last video you're riding where I learned to ski, kneeboard, and wakeboard for the first time.

pet575, I was afraid someone would end up quoting me on that. Rolling Eyes
