We are upgrading tomorrow, but I am hearing about some minor issues with people running CS3, and MAJOR issues for people running CS2 or below (like it no workie).
So consider this a PSA -> if you run Adobe products, check http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/ before you upgrade all willy-nilly and fragg your Pchopper.
Knowing is half the battle!
PS: 10.6 no workie for PowerPC peeps. _________________

Can't wait. I plan on getting a MacBook Pro soon. I was waiting for this to come out first and clear any bugs. |

haugy, I am still more of a Win user... but after really getting to dig in to OSX I am so ready to switch the office over.
I spend a good hour a day on just computer related issues around here. The only computer that never has issues in this office is mine. The biggest holdup is the fact that we run WS2003 and our entire network revolves around it.
If I had to do it over again, I'd run OSX Server and have all Macs. I'd keep our Citrix server just to run Windows based apps where necessary.
Anyhow, sorry for the dork-speek.
I love the MBPs. I wish my sister would have gotten one. She has a brand new lapper running VISTA (ugh). It's a month old and already she has BSoD's. So guess what I get to fix.... _________________

Meh. Google 'kernel panic.' My MBP doesn't seem to be immune to those.
Multiclutch and Steermouse (3rd party mouse driver) aren't supported, so I'm gonna drag my feet a bit on the 10.6 update until I can find a workaround. That'll probably give all the early upgraders time to find all the bugs so that I don't have to. Engadget did notice some problems (off the top of my head, a unibody 17" MBP lost its WIFI...)
regarding CS3: a post on Adobe's blog said that they don't believe in constantly updating old software, but in this case they've gone over Photoshop CS3 and that seems to be free of bugs. They've submitted some requests to Apple on what little things to tweak in the UI, so that should be taken care of. BUT, Adobe isn't going through the rigorous, tedious steps to make sure Photoshop CS3 is certifiably 100% perfect under 10.6.
And I've read a few posts here and there saying that Dreamweaver and a few other CS3 apps do have some bugs. _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com

scott a, yeah, I can't imagine CS3 really being problematic as it really isn't all that old.
The Mac at home is pretty much for personal basic use so I don't think we'll have any issues. I'll let you know if we do though.
I'll just be happy with the extra space and the extra speed. After reading the Endagaget article, I have high hopes for the Finder accessing my networked drives more quickly. This would be a big plus for me. _________________

scott a, I can report that Multiclutch IS supported by 10.6.... Running it at the moment, and enjoying all my prior three finger shortcuts still working. |

blitzentrapped, all of your (native) apps are belong to 64 bit now.
It's faster for me. I notice it in the finder, iTunes, iWeb, iPhoto... pretty much everywhere really. _________________
