| This will be my first comp in like 4 or 5 years and i have gotten a lot better in those years. So heres my question, is it better to sprinkle my run with inverts and spins, or should i make my pass there just be like some stylish w2w and some 180s and stuff and then have my whole pass back be all inverts and harder spins? |

Learn wake has a video about creating contest runs that talks a lot about this. I always liked to see guys do back to back inverts, and back to back spins so you get one coming from each direction. Makes your run look more tech in my opinion. But, learnwake says to put your big air tricks first and work your way down to wake to wake and low amp tricks at the end of each pass. _________________

| really? i always thought you put your harder tricks at the end of each pass so if you fall you dont really lose any length in your run. |

They're talking about Raleys and things like that. But, on the other hand, if a Raley is a harder trick for you then that wouldn't apply. I don't know what tricks you have in your bag or how frequently you land them, they just said that the tricks requiring large cuts should be first so that your run flows better. They have a system that calculates your probability of nailing your run also. Anything above 50% is good, and like you said hardest tricks are at the end of the first pass or your last trick you can fall on and still get your double up if that applies to the contest you're going to enter. _________________

yeah, you throw your tricks that require a big cut early in the run because setting up for a raley or something similar is somewhat time consuming, so if you're landing right in the transition you have to use a lot of time to get back out for a big cut.
If you remember when wakeboarding was on espn, guys always opened up with an S-Bend or a Vulcan or some kind of raley variation. |

| I would throw some of your bigger tricks at the beginning of your run because if you fall right before or two tricks before your doubleup, you won't have it, and that's a big part of the judging. |
