smaller board would be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better. i ride a 132 and am 125 pounds and love the board control in the air and since it is one of the widest board out there i dont feel the size differene that much eveb though i "should" be riding a 134.

When i first started i weighed bout 90 lbs and my first board was a 142 and we had no idea whatsoever bout what were doing and i got up third try but if you want to proress get correct sizing for your weight. which is anywhere b etween 132-136

It's all preference with the "bigger or smaller" aspect but I'd say 142 is a little on the big side. If you want a "medium" sized I'd get the 134.

It's definitly about preference. In my case, im 5'6 115 pounds, but I like to ride a really wide stance, so Im going to ride a Slingshot Response 137 cause I can really spread my feet out the way I like it. It gives me more balance and stability for what im learning like 540's and inverts. Everyone has favorite, but I would demo both a 132 and 138 or anything inbewtween to find what feels best under your feet.

You little people. I am 6'4", 230lbs and I tried unsuccessfully at first to get up on my small friends' boards. I tried a 138 and a 141 with no luck. Finally, I purchased my 147 and I got up on the 3rd attempt. I love my board and am able to do all the tricks that I have tried to this point wiht my board. It is just as light as my friends' boards and I think just as manueverable. Now that I know the feeling, I may try a little smaller board to see the difference. From what I understand, you want the smallest board that can support you so that it is easier to do tricks.

I bet you're right. I will not buy a smaller board. I just want to try it. Besides I LOVE my Hyperlite ERA. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

I'm 230 and ride a 141, love it, after riding the 145 Murray PIF board I really didn't see a need to go bigger, maybe just the shape, dunno.
