I need some help on my tantrums. I am pretty consistent with landing them, but everytime I am not getting high at all. I keep trying to wait longer and longer to get more pop.... but it never seems to work... anyone experience the same kind of problem? _________________ i love cheese! |

| yeah i have this problem, cut in harder in the beginning then flatten out and really try to go straight up instead of just flipping backwards |

| I've noticed that if I don't try and do a really deliberate and abrupt edge change I'll do really low tantrums. Might help to really try and refocus yourself on the basics of the trick. |

At the wake, try to actually push back out over your toes to the flats. Your momentum plus that push will push you more up, but still back enough to make it past the other wake. Practice some tuck back flips on a trampoline where you flip by throwing your knees into your chest instead of throwing your head back.
Another way to kind of force yourself to keep your upper body from throwing back off the wake (which is why you're doing them so low) is to try and grab it indy. Even if you don't get the grab, it should help you pop it up better. |

I had the same issue and I kept waiting for the pop.. and waiting... until somebody took a video of me and i realized i wasn't even at the crest of the wake when i started leaning back. I could make them around but never with any height. _________________ Whenever I see an $80,000 Wakesetter pulling a tuber, I die a little inside. |

| Don't focus on tripping and focus on pop. Most people do it as a trip flip and it's allllll wrong and makes it low, spread out, and terrible looking. Cut in on a regular edge and at the top, just let your front arm out, let go with the rear, and pop straight up and do the flip. No need to trip it when it's just as easy, if not easier, to get a good hit off the top and toss shoulders back for the flip. |
