Me and my friends had a solid three hours of glass last night and did nothing but surface tricks. On my second try I did a surface ole 3 the same way I'd do a TS BS 3 off the wake. My questions are, how difficult is this trick? Are the surface spins helping me at all? What would the progression ladder be for this? And any other advice you have would be great. There's not any help videos on this that I know of. I just know that on the surface, it's really easy to get pulled over, so I don't know if I should try to compensate for that in the air. Thanks in advance.

Well... From the lack of replies, I guess this trick is more outside my ability level than I thought. Confused

What kind of ole 3 are you talking about? TS BS? I do ole HS BS 3s...Ive never seen anyone do any other ole 360 w2w. FS Ole 3s would be very difficult as it is easier to go to 540. Ole TS BS 360s seem easy on the tramp, but I tried taking it to the water and found it extremely difficult due to the line tension. I couldnt even get the rope over my head.

For an Ole HS BS 3, take a constant edge into the wake, and yank the handle as hard as you can with both hands as you pop, once your in the air, try to throw your arm across your face and get the rope over your head. From there all you have to do is unwind and land. The hardest part by far is getting the rope over your head without getting pulled over. You have to pull really hard while staying in control to pop and stay on axis. So...I would say this trick is medium hard, you have to have body control and strength, but if you can do that and get the rope over your head, its easy from there.

LFADAM, thanks for all the help. I was talking about a TS BS 360, so it sounds like if I want to go for an ole, that's not the one to try. But, like I said, I'm probably not ready for that anyway.
