Here is my latest piece of ace. On a freshly shaped 3-stage deck, I put two 1" deep, 7" long, 3/4" wide fins on each end. I hand shaped them out of corian, which is basically a cheaper, plastic based type of marble that I got out of the scrap pile of a tile place. There's a layer of bondo beneath the fins, and I'm fiberglass taping over them for reinforcement. There's already been a lot done since the pictures were taken, so I'll update soon.

At this point, I'm still working on getting the concave thing down. It's pretty simple, all you have to do is profile a couple plys glued together in a diagonal saw, then cut them out and clamp them on the sides and kicktails and smooth the edges with a sander. But right now it is still pretty sketchy and I'm fine with riding a flat deck for now. But someday...

those skates are smooth as far as the concave and rocker goes just make pressure fit molds that add pressure or weight to the wood while the epoxy or glue is drying. you have got the hard part down.
