I carry both. Work = blackberry; personal = iphone (I am not aware of a way to sync the iphone with Outlook which is required for work). If I had to choose only one, it would be the iphone, hands down (assuming you're limited to those two choices and you live in AT&T 3G coverage).
If it's market limitation in Mexico, you may want to look into when the Google phone, Droid, etc, will be available. Competition for smart phones is a good thing.
Good luck shopping. _________________

tball, which iPhone are you using? I've got a 3G and it syncs with my work's Outlook Exchange Server just fine. _________________

The only downside to the iphone I have ever heard is that AT&T coverage blows in way too many areas. If you are going to be with AT&T either way i'd go with the iphone. BUT if you are choosing carriers too, it's tough to beat verizon's coverage. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

I have a Blackberry and an itouch. While I enjoy the touch-screen of the itouch, its great for music, but not for texting/messaging. Blackberrys are great and I wouldn't trade it for the world. By having both of those, I think I have the best of both worlds.
What are you primarily using the phone for? Texting? E-mails? Calls? Games? Etc... |

I like my iphone. I got it a few weeks ago and am angry that I didn't get one sooner. I use it for online games, web surfing, texting, and sometimes an actual phone call. Also emails, and calendar. and contacts. I wanted an iphone because I wanted it to sync perfectly with everything on my mac, which it does. also wanted a new ipod. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

Aubs, primarily for texting and emails. But on the other side I also love the applications for the iphone, so don't know what to do...
Also the coverage is not a problem.

second, mine syncs calendars and mail very easily with my works exchange server as well.
iphone hands down for its wide availability of apps
blackberry/verizon for coverage, except i get full 3g with at&t at my house while i have no service with verizon. If only verizon would have service at my house i'd go with them. |

hanssapo, with all due respect to Aubs I don't find texting/typing difficult at all. No, it doesn't have buttons that you can feel but it is pretty easy to type on. I remember it taking about a day or two to get used to over having buttons, been easy ever since then. _________________

| Hanssapo - Its much easier to text while driving/walking/doing something else (not that I am promoting doing these activities, just saying) on a Blackberry - there is an advantage to having buttons. Blackberrys do have AppWorld and there are numerous games/applications on Blackberry too. PM me for examples... |

| If you do decide to go with a black berry, stay away from the storm. I have a Storm and an Itouch, and the touch is by far better. |

Aubs, didn't know about that, that's great.
kdip, yeah that's what I've heard, I would probably go with the BB Bold, Javeline or Curve |

The storm2 coming out soon is way better than the original according to the reviews. That said I really like my bberry curve. Downside with it is that mine has locked up while it's playing music/sending texts. Not sure why exactly. And if u run the thing out of battery power it takes 15-30 min of being plugged in before it will respond. Other than that it's a killer rig. Bberry has the app world but it's nothing compared to the apps available for the itouch/phone. I would probably go iphone for that reason if the main GSM service provider here in Canada (Rogers) had decent service where I am. So I'm stuck with bberry although it isn't that bad. _________________ Isaiah 43:2 --> When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.

I have a BB Curve (work) and iPhone 3GS (personal, but also synced with my work exchange server). iPhone is hands down the best phone I have ever owned. I have a few more dropped calls than I would like, but everything else is amazing. I still can't type as accurately as my blackberry, but the corrective text more than makes up for it. It even makes me sound sober when I'm drunk texting |

i-phone all the way. Have had it synced with my work outlook mail exchange, calender, and contact list since the first one was released. Had a bb for awhile prior, eh... Couldn't picture my day to day business without my iphone. Would feel lost without. Learned to hate the coverage though. _________________ jt09 wrote:

just set it up like normal in your mail app. except you need to enter the server/domain/username/password info. Talk to your IT guy to get that info. |

Yep, that's it.
Aubs is right about texting while doing something else on the iPhone. You definitely lose the advantage of being able to feel the keys. I've adapted, though, and now........<wait for it..>....... I don't text and drive. Imagine that! _________________

I had a blackberry and went with Iphone. Coun't even think of going back to that cheaply made POS... not to mention data on the BB sucked and half the webpages were jacked up _________________

I've had the iPhone 3GS for the last 6 months and my wife has had 3 different blackberries (none touch screen) and I would say that the iPhone is so much better for webpages and general usability. The typing on the blackberry is slightly better, but once you get used to typing in the iPhone it really isn't bad with corrective text. It makes a big difference with the landscape typing. Typing regularly on the iPhone vs occasionally with her blackberry, I am actually faster on the iPhone.
I'd probably go iPhone given the choice although AT&T coverage does suck. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

I finally went with a Blackberry Bold, and by reading all your comments, I'm hoping I don't regret it.
So far so good, just don't know how to use the BB messenger. I can open it, but don't quite know how to add or manage my contacts, anybody? I tried to add my sister who's algo got a BBerry and I couldn't. I know you have to know the contacts pin to add someone but still it won't let me. |

I've got the pearl and couldn't be happier. I am trying bolt browser for internet and am posting from it now. I can't help ya on BB messenger sa I've never used it. Whole family has bbs but we just text normal. Listen to slacker all day at work makes things nice. This is my 4th one though as I kill phones quick usually by dropping them regularly on concrete. 4 phones in 2 years and never had to pay to replace any of them.
When my terms up though I may look at the droid, bad ass looking phone. _________________

| Hanssapo - Bring it back to the Verizon store and they can reset it for you and make sure you have the most up to date version of the software needed for it. I LOVE BB messenger and use it more often than I do texting. It is fannnntastic! |

| Not a bad choice if you wanted a BB specifically. But if the droid was an option you should definitely have gone that way. I can't make it ten minutes without my phone now, pretty sure it syncs to outlook too. |
