Boat won't start b/c fuel pump doesn't run.

Fuel pump nwas not running so I pulled it and put it in a friends boat and it ran flawlessly just turning the key. I checked the fuses and even changed them. Is there a breaker or something else I can check? I have never had a problem before but a few weeks ago the engine died while struggling to get out of the hole. It was almost like the computer shut it down under load for heat?

What else can I try?

If you're still working on it, need a wiring diagram and a test light or voltmeter.

I am still working on it. I am taking the boat up to the dealer today to put it on thew computer.
