What does everybody prefer. When you eat it hard do you want your feet to stay in the bindings or do you want them to come out? Which way can you get hurt more by? I had Highbacks that locked me in really good and when I ate it bad I didnt come out I sprained me ankle pretty bad. I've come out of my Ultras some what easy on a bad crash and didnt get hurt. Let me know what you think is safer.

On a bad fall I would rather my feet come out. One time I did a really bad faceplant and only one of my feet came out, the board kinda twisted around and it hurt really bad for a couple of hours!

I prefer to stay in myself, but I wear my bindings kind of tight, so it can be tough to get them back on in the water...but coming out on a nasty face plant can be helpful...

I prefer them to stay on, because it's pretty hard to get in my bindings (tight ultras)

I'd rather mine stay on. I have tight exos, and they only came off once today on a really nasty tantrum gone wrong, but usually they don't

I don't really care, as long as both my feet come out instead of just one.

I'd rather my bindings stay on when I fall. Better chance of the board not gettin away from ya...and an even better chance that the board won't come back to hit ya in the head.

Plus, with the way bindings are these days, you pretty much need soap to get in and out of them (which may require getting back up on the platform). It's just much easier if they stay on, IMO.

I agree with wakeboarder_dude22, one could get really hurt with only one foot on the board.

STAY IN!

One off -> knee injury, Two off -> head injury. None off -> Ankles and knee support in a safe, neutral position. I always thought that was why bindings are made to be almost too tight.

azwakin, of all bindings, I'm REALLY surprised you're slipping out of your ultra suctions - you sure they're sized right?

On a bad crash.... You want your bindings to come out. Just have less chance for injury.

hundel,
The only time I have gone to the hospital from wakeboarding the board stayed on my feet and it hit me in the back of the head. End up with 13 stitches. I have pictures if you want to see.

Stay on, to many bad falls where the one foot comes out. I've only come out twice in my exos

I like them to stay on. Once in awhile on a bad crash they come off and back onto the boat I go to put the dang thing back on. When it happens I am always left wondering how my big a** feet came out of those tight a** bindings.

Lyle, yeah - guess the board hitting you in the head fits under the "either" category...never could figure out how that happens.

I once came out and had the board smack me right above my lip line. Lots of blood and stitches. (plus I was the first rider so everyone was pissed that we had to go home.) I now use Parks bindings and cinch the gibbon out of them.

HUNDEL - I have a size 13 foot and I was wearing XL's which are for 11-12. After half a session feet hurt like hell from being so tight. Was even putting cups in them and leaving them in for a week before I went riding and still the same. But if I ate it hard enough I came out.
