Whats the best board/bindings for my girlfreinds son to learn on? He is 13, 130lbs, 5'2" shoe size 8 1/2. Need something lower priced under 200 for the set up. If anyone has something thier kid grew out of let me know. _________________

i got my son a cwb board + bindings from Dicks sporting good for like $125 at the end of the year last year. I think the normal price was $200. I dont recall
Its actually a decent setup. I think its a 135 or 138cm.
He is 12, 140, 5'10" shoe size 13. My wife also uses that board and shes 5'7" 115, with super tiny feet.
The bindings size L-XL but they clamp down even on tiny feet, and they have that heel lock system, so your feet are really in there. _________________

| A combo is definitely the way to go if you're looking for an entire beginner setup on a budget. Just shop around onlineand and post here when you find a few that you are interested in. That way you can get specific advice on each one. |

You can probably find a good setup for that price. I got our boys the LF Nemesis with LF Domain bindings for not much more than that from a place in CA called Salinas Valley Marine. It was a closeout deal. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

Thanks guys, I'm trying to stick with HL since they took good care of me I want to return the favor by buying their gear. I would do the research on this but my internet has been acting weird, think my wireless router died or something? I'm actually getting a signal from one of my neighbors lol. The signal cuts in and out so it's a real PITA. _________________

That looks like it would be a good all-around board. I'm not sure on the size. When you try to size boards based on his height and weight it seems to range from 128-134. I'd be tempted to go a little bigger than a 128 if it was me. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

The weight on the Motive 128 is up to 145, so it should be good till end of the season. We could only find a couple in the price range, the other was a Gator 132, no molded in outer fins. Plus gator only warranties their boards for 60 days I like HL's warranty much better _________________

Without jacking the thread, I've got a little boy who is going to turn 4 in October. He wants to do whatever Daddy does, so now he thinks he wants to wakeboard.
Anyone got suggestions on what to do to get him started? I'm reluctant to run out and buy a $300 combo package for a 112cm board and then not have the first clue how to get him up on it and get him going. It will be more difficult than teaching an adult, I'm sure. I don't want him to HATE wakeboarding just because he was crippled by not having a good teacher.
He is over 40lbs and over 3.5 feet tall. I know the 109-112cm will be OK for him size-wise.
