Where did you get the rings that mount to the tower? What kind of tubing did you use?

I bought all my parts n stuff lastnight. I've got $100 into it. Construction will start tonight. I hope it doens't look to ghetto, bout for $100 as long as it works I'll be happy!
My tower has 2 bolts in the top of it for folding, so I plan on using those.

Some pics on the boat. I was very happy it didn't look quite as red-neck as I thought it might... It'll serve the purpose until I can afford something better, and it only took about 10 hours to make total.

If you're concerned about head room you could order a bimini from the guy i had make mine. I helped him design it and it works great! It's a little cheaper than most i looked into (under $400) and i don't have to duck under it to get to the captain's chair, but it still provides good shade! It takes about 90 seconds to put up by clicking together 12 buckles like you would see on a life jacket, and about 30 seconds to take down for trailering. It will fit any Monster MT1 tower... all he'll need is one measurement from you in order to get the front width correct. If you're interested in seeing more photos let me know!

This picture is late in the day so the shade is on the engine cover rather than the front seats. |
