Wake troubles

Alright, I am having trouble stopping my wake from braking right away. I am not getting that clean wake. I am riding a 65' rope and going around 20-22 mph. I also have a 500 lb center ballast. Any suggestions on how I could clean it up? Am I trimmed up to high or low?

going by your profile boat you will need some weight on the passenger side
the trim set at 0 and be careful where people site the boat has a lot V and is hard to keep balanced you will also need to go 22+

From the profile it's a V-Drive Centurion. I don't know much about Centurions, but I would say to move your rope from 65 feet to either 70 or 75 and speed up. I would recommend 75 on a boat like that with the extra weight because you'll get more hangtime with more horizontal pull and also better height. You also need to move your ballast bag more forward in the boat, probably better in the walkway, maybe a foot or more forward than that. It will create less of a pit but it's going to even out your boat while at a cruising speed rather than plowing through the water more in the back with most of the weight there.

Yeah its the boat in my profile, 04 Centurion (V-drive). I have decided to go with getting a hydraulic wake plate installed. Its such a pain in the a$$ to constantly get in the water to find the sweet spot. I rode in a 09 Nautique 230 this past weekend and cant believe how easy it is to trim it out with a hydraulic plate. I also had a bit of boat envy but my bank account says "No way."

holdsworth, thanks for that advice. I notice that I have to hammer it to plane it out. Adding more weight up front will definitely help.
