My wife and I just picked up a new boat at the end of last summer for the weekends we dont spend at the race track. I finally decided that since I own a boat I need to pick up some sort of watersport. Wanted to try this for a while so I ordered up a board, bindings, rope and handle this week and will be giving it a go next weekend. I will be sure to post some vids of me most likely gettin beat up.
Anybody have any last minute pointers or things I need to make sure I do/look out for?

I am a nOOb also but in my first day I did figure out one thing! Close your eyes and mouth when you bite it! Good Luck and keep reading! I couldn't get up my first day out,I was so mad that I started doing research and ran across this website. Read about 20 pages of this Newbie Forum and got up on my fourth pull today!! For getting up let the boat do most of the work, let the boat pull you out of the water dont try to pull yourself up. Most of all just have fun. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |

*Update*
Day 1- Took 3 attempts and I was up on the fourth, for about 15 seconds. I actually got up and was like okay what now, smaccck. Got up again my last two and stayed up a bit longer, under a minute.
Day 2- Made 6 runs again and was up and riding on all of them. Thought I was going to die on a few of them because my driver didnt hear me when I said no faster than 20mph. Must have been going at least 35mph when they finally realized I was cursing them out. My mom actually thought I was saying "go faster". Finally my wife saved me. Ill post the video later to see if anyone has any feedback before I go out again on sunday. |

| Every time I try something for the first time it ends up with me getting screwed. Example, My first time downhill skiing my girlfriend at the time convinced me that the black diamond run at the resort we were at was an "easy" one and i would be "fine". |
