It was so sweet.. I am now able to ride for easily a couple minutes.. usually until a turn is necessary Wink

running a Moomba Mobius LSV.

Center gravity filled, 550 in back left V-Drive compartment, 550 just behind spotter, and plate about 3/4 up @ about 10.5 mph.

wake isnt the cleanest yet, still need to play with it, but just so excited about finally being able to go ropeless. its not even a challenge to get loose now. its like once you got it, you have it.

uploading a video to vimeo now.

Honestly, that wake is pretty wide. Just not very tall. I bet you could get 10-15' away from the boat and cruise back to the center no problem.

What speed are you going? I think 9-12 is ideal. Also get more people to sit on that side.

Definitely get more weight in the rear port side. How many people do you usually have on the boat? Shift the passengers over to the port side and play around with the weight - a little trial and error should get that wake cleaned up.

How do you like the IS Red Woody? I demoed the Blue Lake and wasn't a big fan.

usually only 2, maybe 3 people in the boat... including the driver...

as for the red woody, i like it... my friend has the yellow loogey and i like the bigger board a bit better...

i would like to try a smaller skim board sometime though..

I'm fortunate in that we usually have at least 6-8 people in the boat when we surf. I'm planning to replace the hard tanks in my 03 SAN with the 750 lbs. Fat Sacs sometime later this year for the times when I don't have the big group. When I don't have the big group, we usually ride the big boards and don't have a problem riding.

I hear ya about the smaller boards. I tip the scales at around 225 (but trying to drop some weight) and am working on riding smaller boards. I learned on the HL Landlock 5'11", rode the Landlock 5'6" a couple of weeks ago, and will be riding some smaller boards this weekend.

Try taking the 550 sack behind the spotter and put it in the port side seat area in back. I'm not familiar with the plate system on the Moomba but the intent is to sink the stern of the boat as deep as practical. This displacement gets you a surfable wake. Another thing I do when driving for a surfer on the port side is to stand up and move towards the middle of the boat. Anything you can do to get more weight on the port side will help. Keep working at it - you'll figure it out in no time.

your other video is funny, where you almost hit the buoy and then crash at the end and edit the footage so it doesn't show. Smile
