Hey guys! me and the mrs after some gear now!

Hey All,

Hope you are all well and having fun behind the boats!! My name is Danny I am from the UK and would appreciate some of your help.

I Am after some help with a couple of board and bindings?

I am fairly new to wakeboarding still, although picked it up fairly quick, am now landing W2W's and ollie 180's..

My girlfriend is also at the same level, if not a bit more advanced! As she started before me..

We are both after some new gear (08/09) and would like any advice/feedback you have on these items?

Me:

I am looking at the Hyperlite B-side 08 vs 09.. Question is, is there a major difference between the 2 boards? What's the ride like of them, which would you advise on?

As for bidings for them I am looking at Ronix Kai 09 boots vs Ronix One 09's?? Ideally I was interested in this set up : Hyperlite B-side 08 with Ronix Kai 09 boots?

Is looking at Hyperlite SYN and Blur 09's and also RONIX Coy 09. has anyone had experience with these at all??

Any advice on these would be much appreciated!!!

Everything you mentioned is a quality product you really cant go wrong with either.

Danny, welcome to WB.com

I believe JD Webb's B-Side model was introduced in '08 so the '09 is probably identical except maybe the graphics. I always buy last year's models to save $$$. I rode a B Side once last year and liked it. I think the Kai bindings are softer and more flexible and the Ones are a stiffer more advanced binding. Given the choice, I'd take the Ones over the Kais but that's me. Only you can decide which you prefer.

Like Shaggyboarder said, all of the gear you mentioned is reputable. Pick which ever setup you prefer and ride on! Cool

In the end I went for the B-Side 08 (as you said.. it is exactly the same but with diff graphics the 09) with The kai boots.. I tried the ones on and the Kai's and purely went for the Kai's as they fit my feet better!

Will all be out on Wed eve for my first try with it all!!

Want to try and nail the W2W 180's now!!
