Sold the '08 today. I pick up this bad boy Wednesday. I didn't know what to think about the new tower, but after looking at in in person and fiddling with it, I was sold. All I have to do is put the Z5 rack on, pull off those factory tower speakers, and install a set of black Wetsounds 485's, my Wetsounds XXX sub and WS420.

I loved my '08, and I didn't see how CC was going to step it up for '09, but they did. The interior has been refined, the motor now has 409 horses (which will be nice for getting this hog out of the hole when we've got 3k in it), the graphics are just as cool as last years, the tower and swivel racks are sick, the factory sub's been relocated so that it's behind the driver's seat and not covered up under the spotter seat, and there are underwater lights under the platform - just to name a few new options/features.

I'll get some better pics up when I get the stereo and rack installed. What do you guys think?

I know the red platform and piping looks kindof crazy, but it's just a little something different from the solid black boat's I've been getting.

Pretty sweet! Hopefully you'll be at Wakefest this year? Me and another Nashville cat were talking about this.

Somebody shoot me some info on this. Now that I have a decent boat with some room, me and several others have talked about coming up for it. It would be nice to meet up with some of the Nashville crew also.

Sweet boat.

TNT Watersports puts it on. I think it's August 8-9th. Can't really tell you which bay it's in or how to get there because I meet up with a ninja that lives around the corner and we just hit the ramp by his house and ride over. Maybe he'll see this post and reply... I don't wanna give out his secret identity Wink

I know I'm coming to Wake Bash the weekend after July 4th. I'd love the hit wakefest too.

You guys need to get to Wake Bash.

After a few talks with some people, and Lee's Chinese fire drill with boat shops lately, we decided that the best one to hit would be Wake Fest. That's because it always has been the same every year. There's been some confusion this year with a few dates changed. I'm having to take vacation for Wake Fest and don't have enough for both.

I don't know man. It looks sick during the day, and certainly keeps the dash area cooler, but at night, it makes it impossible to drive unless you're standing up. I use my boat so much, and alot of times don't get in until after dark, that I'm not sure it's in my best interest.

It'll look better this weekend when I've got the z5 rack and wetsounds stuff all hooked up.

I hear ya. I like the look too, but the night functionality is what stops it at just that.

That is my new favorite boat, especially with the Z5 Cargo rack.

Hopefully CC will make a 24' or 25' in about 5 years or so when I can afford to upgrade.

If you need more than 16 people in your boat you've got too many friends. Shocked

02lightning, It's official... I hate you! Mr. Green

Ok, OK... between the boats, cars, toys, and hotness you post it's probably more jealousy then hate. You're definitely living the good life.

Congrats on the new boat!

PS... I hear a mixture of 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar will keep the water spots to a minimum.

Thanks man. With a wife and an 11 month old, it's hard to get out as much as I used to. Life is a bit tamer this season.

Work hard, play hard I guess. The good news is that I use this boat to give a lot of people an opportunity to ride behind a nice wakeboat who may not othewise get a chance to do so. The reason I get a new boat every year or so is to help promote the sport locally and help educate people as to what these type of boats have to offer in terms of performance, wake, room, and other features. I ususally sell my left over for a smokin deal too, so everybody wins! Smile

I wish someone here needed/wanted an '08 230. I've got a line on a loaded red leftover '08 with 33 hours that could be had for much less than I sold mine for.

There was someone on Planetnautique that was considering an 08 230 LIMITED edition with only the 343 engine and 40 hours for 70K out the door. I told him that he is crazy to consider that in this market as there are MUCH better deals to be had... like the one you are talking about.

Might want to hit him up...

When you say much less, what exactly are we talking? I should be able to move the one I just picked up for what I've got in it if there is a better deal out there.

I put the z5 rack on last night. It was a biatch with the Wetsounds 485's on the tower. It took some creative clamp placement, but it worked. I'll post up some pics.
