Hey guys, I am on a time crunch and have finally narrowed my board of choice to 4 setups. I am a beginner and am looking for my first board:
1. 05 Hyperlite 3ds 135 - $200
2. 05 Liquid Force Evo 138 w/ Alpha bindings - $300
3. 05 Hyperlite State 135/140 - $200
4. 06 Hyperlite Motive 140 w/ Foundation bindings - $300
I am 165lbs & looking for something to last beyond my beginner level. I have read about the 3ds's continuous rocker & how it is more stable in edging and you can jump further, but with less pop. I am on a 5.0 cobra I/O without a tower and am not sure how big of a wake I will be getting once I add about 700-800lbs to the back. Would I be better off sticking with a 3 stage?
Thanks a lot guys,
Justin |

IMO the evo w alphas sounds like a good stup for you but ultimately its your decision..... _________________ "Thanks for Play'n"

Yea man I would go with either the Evo or the Motive. Anything below a 138 might hinder your progression because they arent gonna ride like they should with someone who isn't within their weight limit. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

you could likely find 08 gear for $300, and that's board/bindings.
Seems kind of overpriced for how old it is. Only board I've got experience with in that lineup is the motive and I always thought it was very "vanillia" (which is probably a good thing for a beginner). |

you can also get 2009 packages at $299. FREE shipping and no tax. You need to look around instead of look at 2005 boards. _________________ Wakeskating
