Hello guys, just getting the boat all back together finally its a Correct Craft 2001. Would like to do some wakeboarding.
I live north of pittsburgh. There's no boardshops that I'm aware of and while i'm sure I'll get to go alot, I don't think its the area where its' worth me spending 400+ on a wakeboard. I'm 6'0 tall, 160 pounds.
I picked up these bindings last winter because they were a good deal I was told, I paid $75 for them. They are these ones:

They seem to fit really well, toe just barely touches, just like my snowboard boots. Lots of padding in the toe area though.
So can anyone reccomend some things I should look for in a board that I can keep for a while and not grow out of if thats possible?
Or if you have a board in mind thats cool too. |

My brother is about your size and rides a CWB faze 138 and really likes it. I rode it once, it's too small for me, but rode nice. It's classified as an intermediate board, and that's what you want to look for. Around that same size 137-138, you can go bigger, but not smaller.
I ride a HL premier 141, it's classified as an advanced level board. The thing about learning on an adv board is that it forces you to learn proper edging very fast. You either learn quick or crash a lot, not a very forgiving ride. That being said I love it now that I am used to it.
Most go with an int. board for a season or two, then move up. Don't get a beginner board, it'll be boring after a couple sets. Stick to the name brands, and look for close out deals, or used boards if you don't want to spend that much. _________________

$400 is very doable for a board you can enjoy years down the road. Look for close outs on past years models, as mentioned above. They may even cut as much as half off the price of a new board. My first board I got for $150 with bindings. It was a Hyperlite something or other, but it had this stupid looking Nascar graphic on it and they were trying to get rid of it. It rode very well, despite the ridiculous design , and I kept it for two years before getting a better one, though I could have easily continued riding it even up till now. _________________

get yourself a 138-140
pretty much any liquid force or hyperlite will do you good.
