never heard of her but very sad story. RIP. Backcountry skiing/snowboarding really is one of the most extreme sports there is when it comes to avalanches and killing even the most knowledgeable and best skiers/boarders out there. In no other sport would a guy like Craig Kelly die doing their job. That's like Kelly Slater drowning, it just wouldn't happen. I know this doesn't have to do with how she died specifically being that it was a climbing accident, but it is just dealing with the backcountry in general whether it be ice climbing or riding, that is just so dangerous and deadly. I love watching the Alaska footage when its on Fuel. Such a raw and wild place.
