I know this is a stupid question, but needing a little help. I have landed quite a few 3's this summer, but cant get them consistent. It feels so unatural for me to spin that way. When I finally do, I usually land it or come up close. I know its just one of those things that I have to just make myself do, but just feel so awkward coming in thinking about it that I always bail on it. I guess I am just looking for something to think about/focus on/or look at to maybe help take my mind off the first part of the spin. _________________ www.blackwaterrydas.com |

If it feels unatural for you than it probably is. Just like writing with your right/left hand riding front/left foot forward you have a natural way of spinning as well. Spinning the other way wont help the spin your having troubles with but, you could try spinning frontside and backside and see which one feels more comfy. Either way practice practice practice it really just takes time out on the water to get anything dialed in. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |

shaggyboarder, thanks man, I strongly agree with what your saying there.. I actually started trying spinning backside as well. I have gotton my bs180s really consistant. Feels alot better to spin that way. Ive tried taking it to bs3 the last few times out, takin a few beaters so a little weary of it just yet. Just kills me that I know I can land this dang trick, Ive probably landed it 15 times this year so far, but just have the hardest time making myself get that initial rotation with out trying to bail out and pull it back around to normal.. _________________ www.blackwaterrydas.com |

Backside is indeed the easy way of spinning, first front is harder. _________________

The trick to bs 3s is waiting, the key is getting a real good pop and waiting till the top of your jump to initaite the spin. A common bad habit is rushing it off the wake, this will net you less air slack and just wont look nearly as clean. So really focus on getting a good pop and spinning at the top of your jump. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |
