West Coast Camps- with a vid

Man I tell you if I had the choice and time to goto a camp, this is right where I would head. It seems like paradise to me getting to ride in a camp where every big video we have ever seen is shot. Anyone have any experience with WCC? Isn't the water temp at Shasta always pretty cold despite the air temp?

WCC has two locations, that video was shot at the original camp on Lake McClure (East of Modesto). The Shasta Camp is also pretty sick, Shasta is an amazing place to ride. While it is largely fed by snow melt (as is McClure) the lake gets pretty warm, especially in the arms further away from the inlets. The lake is so large that the water has plenty of time to heat up to the mid 70's by late summer.

On a whole WCC is about fun and riding, the coaches are all chosen not just based on their riding, but on their personal merits as mentors and goofballs. They have a fair amount of younger kids that attend, but there is always an advanced boat of rippers. Plus watching Schwenne and the other coaches will amaze, they definitely focus on style. And you never know who will come out to for a photo shoot.
