I will be starting to Wakeboard again after many years off as I have a new boat. Can't even remember what I rode before as it was a friends board. Looking to buy something that I can progress on but will also be a beginner again.
5'11 ~250 lbs
No real tricks to speak of before.

After doing research I was thinking of a LF Trip 146 with LF Watson CT bindings. After searching I called one online store that had 2008 Watsons for $190. Since their store had the best price on the bindings I enquired about the board, which they did not have any 08 or 09 Trips but suggested a variety of others.

Would any of these boards be recommended? I want something that is forgiving and easy to use for others. Also feel free to provide a link for a cheaper price if you know of one. Does anyone have a link to a 2008 Trip 146 cm for similar price?

2008 Hyperlites $130
143 cm 3DS
142 cm Murray
141 cm Premier

2007 HL Era 147 cm $130

LF Access 143 cm
LF Lyman 143 cm

Ronix 146 cm One $200 (2008 I think)

Thanks

I have the '08 142 Murray and it is a decent board, it is not radical or anything, it is supposedly a hybrid rocker, between continuous and 3 stage, decently fast OK pop. I am 180 lbs and that size board is good for me.

At your weight I think I would go with the 146 board, it will float you
much better. If I had one complaint with my Murray it would be that sometimes it tends to submerge if I am not paying attention.

I tried a 137 CWB Platinum, a great board with great pop (slower than the Murray though) but the board was too small and did not keep me out of the water like I prefer, a great board though.

I have a 142 CWB Pure and it is an all around good board as well.

To answer your question, I would go with the 146 Ronix for sure.

Thanks for the info. What would be considered better for a beginner/intermediate, the Ronix One or the LF Trip?

Are these boards similar at all?

Thanks

I ride a Premier 141, and love it. I'm 6' 235lbs and have no problems with it. I can't really compare as this is the only "real" board I have ridden, it totally blows away my hydroslide and the old connelly blade runner that I learned on.

Of the ones listed I would highly reccomend the Premier Murray or Era.
