So I was checkin out boardersmall.com, like always, and saw that they had the 08 Liquid Force Vantage bindings going for 170 bux...I'm looking for a good quality, supportive binding for my LF board that isn't going to empty out my pockets. Does the velcro stay tight while you ride and all that? Anybody that has ever strapped into a pair of these boots feel free to comment away..thanks! _________________ "Impossible is Nothing"

LFrider139, I bought the 08 Vantages last June and I loved them. Extremely comfortable, easy to get into, very supportive as well. The velcro is great, it stays strapped up, and makes the process of getting ready so much easier. 170 is a steal, got mine for $320. I had to return mine to LF because some minor stitching was coming undone and the material on the heal wore down pretty fast, but LF was great and sent me two pairs of 09's for my trouble. Vantages are hands down the most comfortable bindings I've ridden. Definately get them. _________________ 93 four winns

Velcro sketches me out! How do these all velcro compare to a lace up type boot? _________________

That's what I always wondered too...I've got a pair of 08 Murrays but I use them on my roam and don't really feel like having to take them on and off both boards. It must be some pretty intense velcro. _________________ "Impossible is Nothing"

logan, LFrider139, There practically the same except for velcro you can only get it so tight to the point that only so much of the velcro can be counted on to hold the tightness. However, with my experiences, I have never needed it that to get that far. Mine have always stayed tight while riding and I have found them to be the same as laces except their faster and easier to deal with. _________________ 93 four winns

| I hate laces, every time my laces break, don't hold their tightness once I wiggle around a bit and they get more wet, and the eyelets break, and it's terrible. I have experienced this across the board from LF, hyperlite, and ronix. |

I got the LF Vantages over the winter and have used them twice now. So far I really like them. The velcro is a little easier than laces and you can tighten differently in 3 spots instead of just two. I came out of the LF Transits to these. $170 seems pretty good. I got my wife the Melissa's back in November, for Christmas, for $125. They're basically the same binding. If they still have them available you can try contacting Salinas Valley Marine and talk to Evan to see if he still has Vantages or can get them for you. They have consistently beat any online price I've ever found. I've bought nearly all my boards and bindings from them over the last couple years.
Our Transit/Witness combo, my wife's Melissa's and our boys' Nemesis/Domain combo all came from them. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

Okie Boarder, thanks for the input...may have to look into that. I'm going to get them for sure though. They seem great and for the price why not get them? _________________ "Impossible is Nothing"
