Alright so i just got a pair of tower speakers for my boat. And now I want to put a sub in it as well. I'm wondering what to do about my amp situation. I have a total of 4 speakers and a sub on boat now. Should I get a 4 channel amp for my speakers and a 2 channel amp for my sub? If at all possible, I'd like to only have to wire up one amp. Please give me your insight on this.
Thanks _________________ Go big or go home. |

Something like a Kicker MX700.5 would do this for you....
its got a sub amp and can do 4 speakers all from one box. _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

svahle,
Are you saving you've measured the output of a 700.5 and found less power to be coming out of it than stated? They come with a birth sheet listing a tested output of each amp that leaves the factory... it is what it is.
We don't know what sub he's going for yet before we say he hasn't got enough power. If he were to go for something pretty popular like the WetSounds 10" he'd be set... but if he went for a 15" Kicker Solo Baric then it'll be a different story....
Sorry but your post is just so full of generality it annoys me... its of no use at all to anyone... what exactly is "much more money"? £12 or $120 more?? _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

I'd agree with Brit. I have a friend that has that amp and that sub, along with 4 in boat speakers and it drives that sub really nice! _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

| You could use a 4 channel to drive all of it as long as you dont care about fading between the 4 speakers in the boat . You could also buy a inline gain control for the sub and wire it in easily . |
