| Anyone out there stretch before they ride? If so, what are some of the ones you do? I've just been doing some small stuff, but i have a friend who pulled his ab muscles, and is in a lot of pain, just wondering about different stretches. |

if I were to be the richard simmons of wakeboarding, i'd probably stretch out my hamstrings and quads, maybe calves. and some shoulder stretches. _________________ "Half of what I say is meaningless, but I say it just to reach you" |

I try to do a full set of stretches before I do anything athletic; it's just the way I was trained, I guess.
> Quads
> Hams
> Calves
> Shins
> Abductors
> Adductors (the Pose)
> Chest, straight arm & 90-degree elbow
> Forearms
> Triceps
> Back/Shoulder (the Choker)
That's about it. Sorry, I don't know any stretches for abs. Maybe a few light crunches and/or twists would at least warm the muscles up. _________________ "Practice, man, jus' practice" - Wynton Marsalis

I hopped in the water last Monday for a set, commented on how I felt like a couch potato and wasn't ready to ride. I rode fine but then hit a double up and jammed my knee hardcore on the landing, now I have a very painful MCL issue and still can't ride (not torn, just very junked up), but hey at least I can extend my leg now!

I usually try to loosen up before the first run, especially if early in the a.m. No hard core Richard Simmons sht , but get loose. Stretching every night helps too. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

| Yeah I always lean of the swim deck and use the rope to stretch my back out and all that, but my legs are by no means strong enough to handle the workload. I am truly paying the consequences, can't ride for crap, I can't even scale a flight of stairs, it really does suck being injured. |

| I stretch it all too. Just plan beforehand and start stretching while the person rides before your turn. I've noticed a huge difference in injuries and minor tweaks. |
