no not wakeboarding, not playing basketball, but the ol' couch Confused from what i've heard there's nothing i can do except let it heal so i'm not going to waste time going to the doc and getting it X-rayed. Has this happened to anyone else?

I broke my big toe playing beach soccer in Jamaica about 3 years ago. It as turned into turf toe and is more painful than I could have imagined.

Make sure to let it heal properly. I realize now how this can be a career ending injury for some athletes.

I had it with my BIG toe!!! Both of them at the same time in summertime! I could still wakeboard ect and to sport although it hurt sometimes, but you cant do anything about just some rest or sporttape!

Good luck mate, rest 2 weeks, and jump on the board and youll do fine Smile

(BTW i also broke it with beach soccer when i hit the ground with my feet instead of hitting the ball Crying or Very sad )

Wakeboarding is weak! I wakeskate! Smile

It has not stopped me from doing anything, it hurts the most just walking.

I can't believe the constant pain this has caused. Really sucks.

Good luck.

yeah the toe doesn't hurt at all when i'm just standing on it, but hurts when i walk so (i don't know if this is me being stupid and naive) it seems like wakeboarding wouldn't be as bad for it, being protected in a boot, as just walking around would

blitzentrapped,
I broke mine in 7th grade i think it was. I was climbing a fence and somehow messed it up. It hurt like a bitch to walk on, but it didn't take too long to heal, just take it easy for a bit.

I broke mine when I was 12 when I tripped over a lounge chair. Painful as hell. It was about 4 weeks before the pain was completely gone.

broke a big toe and a my 4th toe, theres nothing the doctor can do but give you the hard sandal shoe to wear to keep the toe from bending. I tried rushing it and tried wakeboarding but taking my feet out of the bindings would screw the toe up too much so i just stuck to wakesurfing for a few weeks.

Nothing some good ol tape cant hold together. Id give it a week before you started riding again.

btw turf toe really can be a serious injury to athletes like stated above.

I broke my big toe playing sand volleyball a few years ago. It hurt like a mother for about a week then slowly got better. Up to a year or two later the one that broke hurt a lot worse when I stubbed it than the other.
