I am looking for a surf board to use behind our Air Nautique. This is what I need:
A board that is easy to get up on and easy to control
A board that can handle a person anywhere from 160lbs to 220lbs
Basically something easy to use for beginners but good enough for intermediate riders as well.
What do you suggest, I know just about nothing in picking out a surf board. |

Hyperlite broadcast 5'6 would meet your criteria. I know a few people including myself who started on this board as it is easy to cruise on, does not need a huge wake to hold a pocket and can be ridden by larger riders. |

No offense, but the Broadcast is a heavy, slow board that turns like a tug boat. Look into one of the higher end manufacturers, the cost is well worth it. A snappy, fast board is alot more fun, even at a beginner level. _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

I started on the broadcast as well. good beginner board. we have taught a dozen or so others on it as well...
had a few try my island surfer skim after getting up on the broadcast and they hated it. thought they needed more time and be able to drop the rope before trying a faster, lighter board...
just my .02...
good luck.. |
