The idea is being based off of

So far I have found these parts to use.

Wakebaord Rack$ 77 Shipped
http://www.diywake.com/shop/shopexd.asp?id=563

&
Grab Bar $ ~25 shipped
http://www.ahturf.com/catalog/itemdetails.phtml?ss=b%078912%07c%07%07a%07S%07e%071%07f%0714067%07z%0773cc

Does anyone have any insight to this or can find any of these items cheaper? I might give this a go.

they look like hand rails from a crapper stall Mr. Green
The only draw back I can see is they are so low and stick out past your gunn wall, what if you forget and pull up too close to something? And sooner or later it will happen.

True, but keep in mind you can adjust the angle of the rack

Yeah, just angle them straight up and you've solved your problem. The only other problem with having them straight up is if you are carrying 4 boards the boots my get in the way while moving around your boat, but I doubt that would be a huge deal.
