That is a very broad poll. Why don't we just ask everyone what there favorite number is between one and one hundred? Wakeboarding has came a long way. 10 years ago there were fewer board companies and a question such as this would probably been fair game. However, the board companies in this sport have stepped up their game and the answer to this question can only be found by your own experience. Personally I have had good experiences with Hyperlite, CWB and Liquid Force, but I am not saying that those companies are better than the others because I have never rode nor done business with the others. |

| Sounds to me like you will basically be getting the board you already have in a different color if you stick to the Ronix One. I suggest you do a search on Ronix One and someone has probably posted their advice on boards from hyperlite, gator, ect that ride similar. |

Really depends on different factors, like your riding style, whether you like more or less pop, control, etc etc.
I ride both a LF and a Hyperlite and I love them both. They are totally different in the way they ride, so depending what sort of ride I fancy and the water conditions, depends which board I'll go out on. _________________ Suck it up and get hardcore! |

WakeTrixx, so you are going to base your board selection by the outcome of this poll? I voted for Gator hahahahaha _________________ Liquid Force

What's wrong with Gator?
Hydroslide isn't on the list. Go to your local walmart and demo demo demo. |

Yeah, I like Hydroslide. Whatever happened to kneeboards? Their kneeboards were bangin'.
I couldnt vote on my favorite cause I like riding most of those companys boards.
You can never go wrong with the CWB absolute. I heard Byerly is making a good board these days. _________________ If you don't live for something, you will die for nothing. |

Actually I have I just forget it is 2009 already. Due to the stupidity of the topic I didn't think anyone would go out of their way to suggest that maybe I should have put 15+ years ago. |

The problem with your assumption is that you assume a brand name has something to do with hydrodynamics.
You may prefer a mellow continuous rocker board and if someone suggested a aggressive 3 stage rocker board you would not like it and associate that with the board brand. Because Ronix is grippy doesn't mean it's a bad board company, they just may make a certain board that you may not prefer. You've already biases yourself unjustly.
You should clarify the style of board you like then look for suggestions. _________________

Going from a 2007 Ronix One to a 2009 Ronix One should help you land your first 1080 ..... I mean isn't that what you are looking to hear .... "Such and such" a brand or board will make you a better rider? Save your money and get some lessons, they will go a longer way then a different color board. _________________ 2010 Watson Hybrid

jesus leviwynnyk i'm so sick of the 1080 crap, and there's no need to bash the guy simply because he's new here and doesn't understand why this question isn't a very good one. Anyway LakeIolaLuke said he couldn't stand the 07,08 one but loves the changes made to the board for 09. It's not just a different color
WakeTrixx, I've only ridden my one and PS3 and they've both been great boards to ride. If you're happy with your 07 one then why get another, unless you're planning to get rid of the 07.. If you really want another board then get some info together on what you like in a board and try something from cwb or LF etc. _________________ Wake Forest University |

In my opinion, buying a new season board is always a waste of money, you could better look at some 2008 boards, there much more cheaper, and your performance wont be worse, believe me.
Just get a Ronix One 2008, or look for the Liquid Force Substance 08 _________________

I think this is one of the dumbest polls I've ever seen. Asking which board company you think is the best and then listing EVERY board company. First of all, people are going to vote for which board they ride and second of all, tell us what you are looking for so we can help you out. By saying Ronix are too "grippy" is absolutely retarded because the only thing that determines if the board is grippy is the fins and most of the ronix boards have screw in fins so you can make it as loose or as grippy as you want. Adam's board has molded fins and isn't grippy at all. I also thought the Ronix One was an AMAZING boat board. I rode it for a season.
So why don't you help us help you, what are looking for so we can narrow down your choices? _________________ Liquid Force

| ok and the poll will give me a idea what everyone likes. so it isn't a dumb poll. the only reason i am looking for a new board is the fact i take it to the cable park and cracked it. i either want another Ronix, Cwb or LF, but i am not sure on which one to get, now ppl writting comments like ilubronix, are taking this post off topic. |

Blindside_137, I was just using the 1080 thing cause everyone knows it's been done to death, and for the recordit's the first time I ever used the 1080 analogy, and the last.
Asking what board brand is the best is like asking what automotive brand is the best..... it's just a stupid question and everyone knows it. perhaps "What brand do you ride" is more appropriate. _________________ 2010 Watson Hybrid

WakeTrixx, how did you come up with that list?
AGAIN choose a board based on what YOU like. The Marius and Absolute are not the same type of board.
IF you give us some background info there are a lot of people here that are willing to help. If you keep ignoring the requests for this info you will continue to get garbage. This exact same thread is posted once every few weeks and they always end the same way. |

In one post he says that he's got a One and in another he says he's heard Ronix boards are grippy. Ummm which one is it?
Anyway, go check out Sine boards. You can call them up, tell them what you want and they will design a board specifically for you. They will even put the mounting holes exactly where you want them and leave the extra holes out. They customize boards to you. You can get them loose or grippy, a lot of flex or a little. I have a Slingshot and their customer support is great. I didn't like the tall fins on my board so they sent me some smaller ones free of charge, no questions asked. I emailed them and in a week they were at my door. I will be sticking to Slingshot for a while just because of their service and I love the flex! _________________ Sportbike Track Time Southern Division Instructor |
