I haven't gone out yet this year but i noticed last summer that I had difficulty grabbing with my left hand. Not only do i have troubles grabbing with my left hand but i hate landing without the handle being in my left hand period. In case it matters I ride regular and I am right handed. Is this normal for other riders? Any tips on gettin over that?

Just jump 2 hours on a trampoline with the grab in your left hand.

The tramp will work. but once you get out on the water just take it slow. it doesnt have to be a solid grab right away. start by just taking the left hand off and reaching down there, do that a couple times, then reach down and touch it, then after you have that down go for it and grab it full on.
Also if your getting enough pop you can grab it and still have enough time to get your left hand back on the handle.
Also your first couple times dont have to be any particular grab. Just go to where its easiest to grab. The style comes after.

Medina, indy is with your back hand (his right hand in this situation).
kingofthehoop, it is a little trickier grabbing with that front hand because when you're only holding with your back hand, the rope naturally wants to pull your tail around, trying to put you in a face-plant.
The difficulty in grabbing with the front hand itself is likely just practice, and feeling awkward without that front hand. Force yourself to reach down with that hand, and like kent said, take it slow and work into it.
To help with your balance, and to help land with the rope in your back hand, try holding the handle in your back hand close to your front hip and keep your arm bent and held strong. If you start to rotate to 180 swing the handle to the left to pull your body back square. You can try this even without grabbing to make yourself feel more comfortable.

odd question but do you work out?
having a strong rear arm would probly help you feel more comfortable.
try just riding more with rear hand only too. maybe some water touches etc holding on with your rear hand.
its actually pretty easy and natural for the body, more so even that just TS cuts to me. youll get it. dont think into it, just do it and youll stomp it.

Its completley natural and really just takes time out on the water to practice. No matter how weird it feels the only way your going to be comfortable with it is just practice/trial and error.
