Kwik Tek Spectra Wakeboard Rope Thermal 4 section
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000OF926E/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance
I have only been riding since last summer and just read that you need a specific rope for wakeboarding. We have been using a rope that is used for pulling tubes and now I know that these ropes aren't good for wakeboarding so I'm looking to buy a new one.
I was looking for a cheaper option and found this which is only $55 and comes with a handle. Is this one any good or would it be a waste of money? How would this compare to ones that cost $100+ like Accurate or Proline? If this one is significantly worse then I will spend the extra money, but I would rather save some money with the Kwik Tek if it would work for at least a couple of seasons. I'm not picky and don't have much experience right now so I don't need a top of the line rope or handle if its not necessary.
If you have any other suggestions or know where I can find a rope and handle at a good price feel free to reply or send me a PM. Thanks for any help. |

| well it would be better than the tube rope you've been using that's for sure, but i've never head of "kwik tek" so i can't really say if it would truly be non-stretch though.. |

| oo yeah flixmaster's combo is a good one, almost identical to mine and i love it. the handle you use isn't as important as the rope but a 15 inch handle definitely does help when you start spinning, etc |

I suggest buying pro shop level products. If you have a problem with an airhead rope/handle does airhead replace the product? I can order airhead products from one of our distributors but I never do because I know the quality of the HL, LF and CWB products are good so we stick with them. I also know that if there is a problem with something these companies always replace the item without any problems for me as a dealer. _________________ Wakeskating

I have that same rope/handle (the green $55). yup.. it is a ton better than a stretchy ski rope, but It is hard (extremely hard) to hold on to upon tougher landings, even with gloves on. If I had to do it over again, I'd buy a nicer rope/handle. You don't realize how much you use it, until you have a crappy set. It's like a mattress, don't skimp!! _________________ just livin' man, just livin' |

We have this package along with an accurate package...We swapped the Airhead handle out with our Accurate handle and like it alot. The only thing I liked more than the accurate is that it had the plastic coating so less tangles. The handle is way too big and hard to hold on to. I really can't tell much more of a difference than the accurate spectra...both pretty good ropes, but the airhead handle is fail... _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Thanks for all the responses, this is a lot of help. The Proline LG package looks good and I might end up getting that combo after I do a little more research. Buying a good rope now seems like a better option over trying to save a few bucks for probably a lesser quality product that I might would want to replace in the near future.
Luke - that Hyperlite combo you linked me to is the same price as the LG - both are $119. Is it $100 somewhere or did you think the LG was $139? |

| Went with the LG combo & it came out to around $117 after tax & coupon. Will be nice to use instead of the tube rope, haha. |
