Does anyone know a good program I can rip DVD files with.

For example... if I have a DVD that has 12 chapters and I just want to rip one out and burn it or convert the file and email it?

it's free, works like a champ, converts to ISO and might do AVI i believe, but i never used that option.

I might have more questions in 20 mins... Laughing I don't even have the DVD in hand just yet, so I'll have more specifics on things like file formats and conversion.

try dvd decrypter/dvd shrink. I'm pretty sure one of those can get down to the chapter level.

Alright I figured it out... just renamed the .vob files to .mpg and then trimmed them and output with a little video cutting app.
