Does anyone know a good program I can rip DVD files with.
For example... if I have a DVD that has 12 chapters and I just want to rip one out and burn it or convert the file and email it? |

google "dvdshrink"
it's free, works like a champ, converts to ISO and might do AVI i believe, but i never used that option. _________________ <insert witty banter here> |

hmm...rereading your question, that might not be the tool for you, not sure if it can get down to that level. Well, if you haven't already heard of it, give 'er a go, if so, i'll shut up _________________ <insert witty banter here> |

I might have more questions in 20 mins... I don't even have the DVD in hand just yet, so I'll have more specifics on things like file formats and conversion. |

| Alright I figured it out... just renamed the .vob files to .mpg and then trimmed them and output with a little video cutting app. |
