cmon guys help me out.. i have moomba lsv 07 it came with the stock ballast system wich is the front walkway bag and the two bags in the back by the V drive .. i just bought a 275 lbs sac and one big sac 700lbs that has the shape like the bow.

i have move around the ballast trying to find a bigger wake but no results..

what do i need to do? in what part of the boat should i place this two fat sacs that i bought?
do i need more weight in the back or in the front??

im not sure but i think the stock ballast is 400 for the one in the front and 275 each in the rear

Where have you tried the 2 bags?

The bow sac needs to be in the bow. The 275 bag should be in the middle of the boat or near the back. You want to try and keep the weight even across the entire boat.

You might have to play with the amount of water you load in the bow sac. You might have to much in the nose and center because of the 400 lb center bag and the bow sac.

You should be able to upgrade those stock rear bags to 400's or 750's, this would definitley help and then you could use the existing 275's elsewhere. I got a pair of barely used 400's if your interested.

i called the moomba factory . turns out i have a 400lbs one in the front walkway and two 400lbs each in the rear...

so...in the rear i should take out the existing stock ballast 400lbs each and replace them with two 750lbs each fat sacs .. and in the front leave the stock ballast 400lbs one, plus the 700lbs fat thats shape like the bow?

thats a total of 1100lbs in the front and 1500 in the rear..

if this was the case then i would have two extras 400lbs fats each..
where should i place them? in the center: one on each side?

thanks for the replys

That will be a total of like 3400 lbs which may be a bit much for the LSV. The wake will be big though! I'd put the spare 400's in the center of the boat side by side like you mentioned to start out. You will probably have to speed up to about 23-24 to get a nice wake with that much weight.

Bambamski, Im not sure what the pair of 400's are worth, is your buddy going to install them permanantly or just use them as regular sacks on the boat floor? I might just keep them so we can load up 1500 lbs on one side of the boat for a killer surf wave.

If you want to spend money... Check out the Gravity bags that we have at Boardstop. Those bags are the larger replacements for the ones you have.

THey're not going to be plumbed in. They'll just have them lying around for when they need them I guess. I told him he'll need at least 3 400's for the his boat for when he doesn't have it loaded with people. You don't surf behind the boat in your profile do you?
