BOO XBOX! I've had mine now for a couple years, but I'm pretty sure I'm not playing it enuff to make it stuff itself. I know as soon as that extended warranty expires mine will red ring. Sunsabitches.

churchy, talk to a superior in the warranty department and ask that they warranty it, even if you're out of warranty. Tell them that it is a widespread problem, my friend had his fixed for free when it was out of warranty. But I think he got RR'd under warranty once too... Definitely worth a shot.

if it is out of warranty, google "xbox x clamp"

pretty easy fix, worked twice for me so far...

MS extended the warrenty for xbox's for 3 years for this issue. So, it is covered. I was going to do the x clamp fix, but since it was covered, I figured I would let them fix it right.

JoeyJojo, yep... there is that chance. but, I didn't want to void the ext. warrenty by doing the repair myself... may break down and do it if it does it again.

get ahold of microsoft either way. 1-800-4my-xbox. they will do all they can to hook it up w/ a new one!

call microsoft and they will help you with you're red ring of death issue. they should extend you're warranty on it, they did mine, and will just send you a new one. good luck.

XBOX 360 is really made out of russian components of low quality, i mean, there are too much issues with it, better buy a Wii or PS3 Very Happy
