I like the idea behind these boats. Anyone know what the price points are going to be for those things? _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

i wonder what the prices will be compared to malibus ride series. thats the only boat that will ever be in my price range. if the axis is near that it would be great to have options. _________________

Ha honestly if you want extra info, just go to the wakeworld thread. It has blown up this morning into one of "those" threads and its actually quit interesting. Some love the idea, some think its over the edge for a "price point boat". I think it has way to many dang options to be a cost effective price point boat. But just go read the 50 some odd posts in the last couple hours. But hey, Randy Harris rides it so it has to be Bad A! lol _________________ Its business, Its business time! |

I'm pretty sure 45K gets you a fully loaded Axis with trailer
And the 21 Vride is now starting right at 45K _________________ Wake Forest University |

| Malibu/Axis designers overlooked one important thing that has been on every wake boat for the past 10 years..... a wrap around windshield. So stupid I cannot believe they even made that boat into production. |

i like it, for one i think it looks pimp, and two frees up visability for circling a downed rider. plus allitle drop in weight(miniscule)
imagine where vehicle design would be if they kept doing what was done in the past.....

| Yep, but if you sit on either port or starboard side on a cold morning you will become wet with a sac'd out boat. I know there is the argument that if you are on a boat you are supposed to get wet, but that arguement seems dumb to me. Sometimes I do enjoy being dry, as do my passengers. |

(spelling?)
im just mad i missed the prototype in austin this weekend, just 75 miles _________________

We received that press release today also. I think it is a good thing for Axis to get a rider for the team. Not sure all the details behind that but the Malibu team does have enough riders to promote that line. Maybe Axis was able to offer something more to Randy?
As for the boats. I know we have the new Axis boat at the local Malibu dealership. They are getting it ready for the boat show. As soon as I can get some images I will post them. _________________ Wakeskating

Love the idea of the boat, just hate the non-wrapped windshield. Randys ALWAYS a good addition to any team _________________ Neuston Boards

| The window thing was my only real complaint about the boat. But after someone pointed it out to me, it is almost similar to the older SAN 210 where the windshield ended well before the drivers elbow. It always made high fiving your rider easier. I'm curious how much wind.water would actually come into the cockpit area. Personally I think the boat looks awesome. Tower is mediocre but as someone who has always been resigned to the fact that used is the only way a boat is possible, this looks like a sweet wake at a fine price! |
