Post pics of your setup, and what you think of the board.

I like the board a lot, it's a great carver and really sticky on the landings.

I just wish I could break it loose easier and powerslide, but thats not happening with the fins as big as they come on it. And the landings are a bit rough if your taking things further than w2w.

The bindings I think are ok.. they felt great when getting molded but my feet aren't as thick as regular 10.5's are and theres still some room around the top of my foot. They seem extremely stiff compared to my 06 lf watsons which i still like better. granted, i've only had one set in the one bindings and im hoping they loosen up and pack out over time. we shall see

I like the looks of that setup.. If I had Ronix in the shop I would get me some of that.

The 2009 One binders are extremely comfortable. The landings are noticeably softer compared to my '08's that I had and the bootshave a lot of support, but still offer good flexibility.

H20orSnowLetsGo, I'm hoping I will like it too. I'm going to buy the new PBV2 in a few days. No boat to demo on, but the specs are my style and I've always liked Parks boards.

holdsworth, have the ones packed out and expanded for you? both pairs you've owned? and do they lose some rigidity after a few sessions.

i got a serious bruise on my left calf they were so stiff on my first session, and my only one in november.

Blindside_137, they were pretty stiff at first, but after about 4 or so times out with them, they've loosened up enough to where they aren't as bad. I was getting blisters at first but they're alright now.

Blindside, Have you tried it without the fins? Ive thought about taking them off my Covin just to play with it.

Also, if you dont want to go finless, can you get like .8 fins. I think my covin has 1.0 on it so i figure the One does too.

They have molded fins, that's all you need. Try riding finless, you will like it better once you get used to it. I started riding with fins but soon after that a friend of mine got a Watson and rode it finless. I started riding it and loved it.

Calexan, yea i did actually and i absolutely loved how loose it was. but I was having some very hard times landing tricks without sliding out so I had to put the fins back on.

I have been thinking about some smaller p-wing fins but at 20 bucks a fin, I don't feel like dropping nearly 100 dollars. If I want to go have a powerslip and slide session i'll just take the fins off.

Zach2orJack, it doesn't really have molded fins, and is probably as slick as any rome/butter board without them. the watson has some pretty short but tall molded fins compared to the one.

thanks holdsworth, that makes me feel a lot better about them

The One board doesn't have molded fins. I took mine off to ride at OWC and it was too sketchy finless. Zach2orJack, you really don't have a clue what you're talking about.

With 1" fins on my One, I could still powerslide fine, but with .8" fins, you'll be able to break loose easily and still have plenty of grip when you want it. ALWAYS ride P-wing fins though.

the 09 one, IMO is leaps and bounds better than the 07/08. much faster, and the pop is insane. It takes forever for it to turn though, the soft rail in the center really makes it floaty feeling when you're not on an aggressive edge

So it's a featureless bottom, like my Recoil? In that picture above those indentions are what? You're telling me that both ends of the bottom of the board are flat.

Zach2orJack, it has molding, but not fins. just channels that don't do too much to grip the water. I, however, would ride that board finless before i rode it with those 1.0s on it.

My bad. Every write up and description of every board that I have read calls them molded fins.

Zach2orJack, 90 percent of the people writing the reviews probably believe that they really are molded fins. but they help very little, in fact not at all

Blindside_137, I'm not just talking about reviews, I'm talking about the company's descriptions of the boards also. Everything I have ever read including manufacturer's sites.

I have ridden with and without fins but I've yet to ride my Recoil that is "featureless." I don't think I'll need fins for it but I'm going to keep them around anyway. According to what was said in this post I won't need them at all since the "channels" don't do much. Am I correct?

I ride an 08 ronix one with some 07 LF sphynx... And her comes my review of the Ronix one...I DONT LIKE THIS BOARD AT ALL! ok first off after riding it for about two months the top UV clear coating started to crack and there was no way to stop it so the entire top of my board looks like its cracking and peeling off which it is. The landings in the Flats are BRUTAL! the whole make the middle of the board smooth so when you land "Less is more nonsense" that they talk about in the product description is bull. Take that thing into the flats and its goodbye knees...thats just more surface area hitting the water first which makes for a rougher landing in my opinion. Also about four months into having this board i managed to lose one fin...thats right just one happened to just strip itself out. When i landed some trick the fin just ripped off leaving the screw...and yea its really hard to buy or get one fin from Ronix.
Ok now for some decent things about it. The pop is very nice the aggresive three stage is a plus and the thing really throws you up there (the counter to that is the flat bottom...more height just means rougher landings) It edges really nice into the wake and is kinda forgiving i have yet to catch a massive edge and managed to pull out a few things when it looked not so good. And it is not hard to break that board lose. Nope just put a bit of effort into it and you are powersliding for days.

All in all i rate it about a 4/10. sorry ronix! But my heart lies with CWB! picking up the 09 trans platty to replace my ronix.

This is all personal opinion some of you may love your ONE and not had as bad as an experience as me. Mr. Green
