Hello everybody, i need your help...
In Holland, our wakeboard season starts at the beginning of April, but, the water is very cold till June.
Now, i know that a 3mm/2mm Wetsuit will be too cold in April, May, September and October. So i want to buy a 5mm/3mm neopreen wetsuit.
My question is, how is the flexibility of a 5mm wetsuit?

If it's that cold why not just buy a dry suit? As for your question, I don't know, I have a Gooru l/s spring suit that is 2mm. It works down to about 60 degrees f water temp, maybe a little colder. _________________ Sportbike Track Time Southern Division Instructor |

I've heard of a lot of people using them but I couldn't tell you anything about them. The few people I know that wear wetsuits wear O'Neill suits, either full or spring and a couple of them wear heater tops over them. I'm thinking about getting a heater top to go over mine. My only problem is my knees get icy cold with my spring suit. The guys I know have hot showers and when they go out they fill their suits with warm water, go out for a fairly quick session and come back in and fill it again to keep warm. _________________ Sportbike Track Time Southern Division Instructor |

doesn't a drysuit really keeps you from moving freely?
I've only ever been wakeboarding with a suit on(also in Holland) and when I ask people who board without one they say you can move a lot better.
And a drysuit is event thicker and thighter right?
My boyfriend has a semi drysuit and they have been boarding behind the winch last week and there's still ice on the water. Now he was also wearing a divers's hat and neoprene socks and he said the only time he was cold was when he was changing in his car. But I just can't believe it wasn't cold beceause the water must be something around 2 degrees now.. |
