My wife and I are discussing vacations and Tahoe came up. What resorts are good there? There is a lot to choose from.

Keep in mind that we are looking for daytime snow sports and ways to be entertained at night also.

Here's a few interesting ones I've noticed.
Heavenly
Kirkwood
Boreal
Alpine Meadows

Thanks ahead for the info!

While not the best resort out there as far as terrain, Heavenly on South Lake is probably what you want then. A little strip of Casino's right there and Heavenly is right above you. It is a huge mountain so you'll find something there and it has a really nice view of the lake etc.

For terrain, I consider Squaw Valley the best one out there though.

Stay in South Lake, and ride at Heavenly. If you have a rental car, or don't mind a bit of extra travel you can take a bus out to Kirkwood (45min) to mix it up a bit. Kirkwood is the highest of all the Tahoe area resorts, and has the best snow. They have a great area for beginners, and plenty of chit your pants scary runs if you want them.

Here is Kirkwood from last Friday

This is called "Once is enough" or "Onezies"

And if you really have the cajones, you can just air into it. Shocked

Shocked That is wicked! Shocked

Thanks for the help! We are still talking about it.
We may look into a snowmobile day while we are there also.
There is a lot to do around there.

The Wood for the MFW!

By far the best place to ride in Tahoe.
