Just curious what the thoughts were on the new 09 LF bindings... Specifically the watsons.. My 08 watsons were comfortable and very supportive, so I was just wondering how the new plate and lighter weight have effected them..

They are stiffer and taller, and easier to get in and out of. They no longer have the wrap-style liner, which is not really noticeable comfort-wise, but it did reduce some of the bulk and bunching in front of your ankle. As for the weight, I put a pair of 08's (plate and all) and a pair of 09's (with the new plate) on the scale at work and I think it was like 1.4 lbs different. most of that weight is from the plate though. Unfortunately, if your putting them on an older board, you need the angle lock kit, which weighs 1.85 lbs, but are very beefy.

And another reason wakeboarding is better than surfing, you die less, that means you have another day to wakeboard, which is more fun than surfing anyway.

those angle locks are heavy. Could they not come up with something other than those angle locks?
