So the gf put up with me spendin every sat on the river and bringin up boardin in every conversation possible. She was actually startin to say that i'm more obsessed with it than her. Now I caught her in the act of supportin it. Found Boardflix in her history on her laptop and just from some subtle clues.......... she bought me The Book. This is the first victory in bringin her to the light. Next is a boat Twisted Evil

just realized how stalkerish that seemed Laughing

wasn't lookin through her history but when her little pulldown thing popped up boardflix was on it and i've never looked at boardflix on her laptop.

Krent: yeah she got up on her third try and cut straight out heelside but we couldn't get her to cut back. Finally caught an edge and went down. I was stoked that she got up but she said she'd rather ride in the boat and drink. Rolling Eyes

warwagon: used to make it up that way but my buddies grandma sold her lake house in leatherwood. that was the set up.

Last I heard her other boyfriend isn't in to wakeboarding so hopefully if he is she bought two copies

dbismyname, Its great to have a gf who not only supports your habit, but shares your addiction. Hopefully, yours is headed that way.

My last gf used my time on the water to screw around with the mouth-breather she's engaged to now. Good riddance. Laughing

My current girlfriend got hooked her first time out and wants to spend every minute on the water that I do. Though she's not as stoked about wakeboarding this time of year, as I am, she is stoked to go snowboarding for the first time in a couple of weeks. I'm a lucky guy. Cool

Hahaha that's awesome

My gf finally landed the wake to wake this year! Her third year riding, our first behind an inboard. She sometimes can't land one; others as many as 4 or 5 in a set. She is working on the one wake 180 and can land a half-cab almost wake-to-wake. She is trying much harder at the wake and doesn't wanna surf, just jump! WoW!

My Gf was/is the same way. I bring up boarding in every conversation possible, watch videos on my phone when we are out and she is shopping lol, and wear the shirts for the local shop. She says I obsess, and I mention that I don't know what she is talking about (as Im on wakeboarder.com haha). She tried boarding a couple times this past season and likes it, just not still into it in the off season.
I see this as a problem Laughing

. She already mentioned she wants to try some wake to wake's and 180's next year and keep progressing and then get some weight with ballast. She knows her pro riders names well and looks up to Cathy Williams. So, hopefully its a start in that direction to being the obsessive-ness I'm at...
